It is based on highly accurate numerical methods (ADER scheme, ESIM immersed interface method) on cartesian grids.
Numerous realistic models of heterogeneous geometrical configurations can be handled as combinaisons of acoustic, elastic, visco-elastic or porous media.
2D and fully parallelized 3D versions have been developed from the last 15 years by B. Lombard and G. Chiavassa.
PROSPERO is devoted to scientific and contractual collaborations in different areas such as non-destructive testing or sub-surface imaging for example.
